Dr. Jeff J. Mollins – Accident Specialist

The decisions that have to be made after sustaining an accident are very crucial, possibly life changing. What you decide to do may very well affect you for years to come. Probably the most important decision you will make is choosing a doctor to treat and to document all of your injuries in a professional and highly competent manner. Dr. Jeff J. Mollins has been specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, and documentation of injuries sustained in accidents (construction, slip and falls, automobile, or work) for almost 30 years. Remember, when you sustain injuries as a result of an accident, the primary concern MUST be your health. You MUST see a doctor as soon as possible to insure wellness.

Dr. Mollins is a Diplomat of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. He is certified in physiotherapy, theoretical and clinical laboratory diagnosis, x-ray and spinography, as well as dissection of the human body. He is also a Medicare provider (#X19311), and certified by the State of New York to provide both treatment (workers compensation certification # C03541-2) and peer review for injured workers by the NYS Workers Compensaton Board. He regularly attends post graduate seminars to keep abreast of the latest technology, advancements, and treatment options for his patients.

If you have been injured in an accident, Dr. Mollins will typically see you immediately (usually the same day). His office is conveniently located in downtown Brooklyn, close to all public transportation.

The first step toward wellness is a proper, concise diagnosis. Dr. Mollins initially will take a detailed history. Understanding the precise mechanism of an injury is crucial to obtaining an accurate diagnosis as well as establishing uncontested documentation (which is essential when dealing with patients involved in accidents). Dr. Mollins will then perform a comprehensive physical examination. Dr. Mollins ALWAYS measures ranges of motion of the involved areas. Precise measurements of ranges of motion are extremely important in order to assess improvement (once treatment begins) and to document the injuries sustained. Often Dr. Mollins has to prove that the injury sustained is a permanent injury. Restriction in ranges of motion of the areas involved is the best way to establish permanency. If needed, Dr. Mollins will refer his patients for diagnostic testing such as standard x-rays and/or mri testing. He works closely with referred medical specialists (orthopedists, neurologists, radiologists, etc.) as to help establish a proper diagnosis. Once a proper diagnosis is determined, Dr. Mollins will then place his patients on a comprehensive treatment regimen that will initially begin with conservative care (such as chiropractic and/or physical therapy). If conservative care proves ineffective then more aggressive therapies (pain management and/or surgery) are available. Dr. Mollins’ goal is for every single patient to achieve wellness as expeditiously as possible and return to a normal healthy, happy life.
