Chiropractic Treatment for On-the-Job Car or Truck Accidents

We all know that a car accident can lead to serious injuries and that a car or truck accident can happen at any time – even when we’re on the job as a driver or driving while fulfilling work responsibilities.. Everything from fractures to concussions could send you on a trip to the emergency room. But even if you can avoid the major injuries often associated with a car accident, it doesn’t mean you are in the clear for pain that could keep you out of work.

Car accidents can cause problems to your musculoskeletal system. Although they may not be as obvious as a broken bone or laceration, they can still be extremely painful and reduce your quality of life.

The Reality of Whiplash

The most common form of musculoskeletal system that can result from a car accident is whip lash. While strapped into your seat with your seatbelt, your body is held still. But in most cases, your head and neck is unprotected and free to move as your car jerks around.

When you sustain a neck injury from a car accident, it is most commonly referred to as “whiplash.” Whiplash occurs when your neck makes very rapid movements in exaggerated directions.

Symptoms of Whiplash:
• Neck pain
• Headaches
• Nausea
• Dizziness
• Arm pain or numbness
• Depression
• Inability to think clearly or concentrate
• Back pain

Symptoms associated with whiplash can happen immediately or gradually increase with time.

Treating Whiplash Pain with Chiropractic Care

If you believe you’re suffering from whiplash as a result of a car accident, visiting your chiropractor can give you a better idea of your physical condition and what treatments will be most effective.

If you’ve been injured in an accident on the job, contact Dr. Mollins’s Brooklyn office. Dr. Mollins works with his patients to determine the best course of chiropractic treatment to get them moving again and back to work as soon as possible.

A visit to your chiropractor can also relieve whiplash pain by making any adjustments to your neck and spine. These adjustments can get you back on track to feeling comfortable and normal after your car accident.
